Why do you choose your area of study?
I choose my area of study because it will help me to manage my company, that is, shoe factory and the purpose of the shoe factory is to help reduce the rate of unemployment by employing more youths.
My name is KHAN SYNTHIA I am 22 years old and am from a humble background that is neither poor nor rich but being contented with what we have as a family. I am from Pinyin in the North WestRegion of Cameroon and I live with my family that is, my parents and siblings. Weare 6 of us to our parent that is 2 girls, 4 boys and I’m the first child.
To begin, I am currently a One World Tuition Scholar. I will love to study Banking and Finance in the University because I lov eBanking and it’s my passion to safeguard people’s money. I also love to encourage those who cannot save to start saving even if it means starting with a 100frs. The beginning of the saving does not matter but what you will do with what you have saved at the end matters. That will help people come out of poverty. I will be studying at The Higher Institute of Management Studies(HIMS) Buea. I chose this Institution because it is the best in professional studies in Buea.
Furthermore, I like mingling with people who are involved in the circulation of money on daily basis, learn how to preserve it, know in which dimension to put it into use and learn how to make it multiply orbear more fruits. I like reading books that talks about money. Also, I don’t like seeing graduates, school dropouts roaming around the streets. I dream to see a working generation of the youths, job opportunities andfor the country to be at full employment
Finally, I want to thank One World Tuition for the opportunity given to me to study. Through my volunteering work with the Restore Her Dignity Project of Royalty World, I have been supporting the pads project in my spare time to place buttons, take stock, package and also train girls on Menstrual Hygiene. I participate in organizing conferences and reach out to other girls in my community. This year I am plaining to reach out to more girls and teach them about Menstruation.
